Planning & logistics

If you do not see your question here, please contact us and we will respond promptly.

What services does Tes Medical Tourism provide?

We coordinate Shanghai health checkups for North American clients, including provider matching, appointment scheduling, itinerary planning, translation support, and on-the-ground coordination.

How far in advance should I book my checkup?

We recommend starting planning 2–4 weeks in advance. If you have limited travel dates, we can often accommodate shorter timelines depending on provider availability.

What is included in a typical checkup package?

Common inclusions may include blood and urine testing, liver/kidney function, glucose and lipids, thyroid and tumor markers, and imaging such as thyroid/abdominal ultrasound and chest CT. Women’s screening can be coordinated based on age and clinical recommendations.

Do you work with specific hospitals and doctors?

Yes. We coordinate with vetted Shanghai hospitals and physicians appropriate to your needs, preferences, and language requirements. Final selection is confirmed with you before booking.

Will I need a referral from my doctor in North America?

A referral is not usually required for a checkup. However, sharing prior results and current concerns helps us tailor the screening plan and coordinate any specialist consultations if needed.

Can you help if I want more than a checkup (e.g., a minor procedure)?

Yes. We can coordinate consultations and planning for select minor procedures, subject to clinical appropriateness and provider availability. We will advise on pre-travel requirements and post-care considerations.

Medical records, language & privacy

We prioritize clarity, confidentiality, and a smooth patient experience across borders.

What medical records should I share before travel?

If available, please share recent lab results, imaging reports, medication lists, allergies, and any relevant diagnoses. You may redact non-essential information; we only request what is needed for coordination.

Do you provide interpretation and translation?

Yes. We can arrange English-language support for appointments and help translate key medical documents so you understand findings and next steps.

How is my personal health information handled?

We treat your information as confidential and use it only for coordination with your authorized providers. We share details on a need-to-know basis and can discuss preferred communication channels.

Will I receive my results in English?

Where available, we request English summaries. When results are provided in Chinese, we can assist with translation of key findings and recommendations.

Can you coordinate follow-up after I return to North America?

Yes. We can help organize digital copies of results, clarify provider recommendations, and support follow-up questions. We also encourage you to share results with your local physician for continuity of care.
